More and more adoption agencies and programs are requiring prospective adoptive parents to undergo some level of psychological evaluation prior to placement of a child in the home. In answer to this requirement, we offer adoption psychological evaluation services to adoptive parents and adoption agencies.

Our adoption psychological evaluation consists of the administration and evaluation of a standardized test, review of the prospective parent’s homestudy (and other documents as necessary) and a comprehensive interview of the prospective parents. Results are summarized in a letter and mailed to the prospective parents and/or agency ordering the evaluation.

All testing and evaluation is completed by licensed psychologists contracted with A Child’s Embrace.
